William Jackson, MD

Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon

Assistant Chief of Orthopaedics at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, from 1985 through 2011, Dr. William K. Jackson is now in his 39th year in private practice. His areas of special interest include hip and knee problems, and arthroscopic surgery of the knee. Conservative by nature, Dr. Jackson attempts to find a non-surgical solution first for his patients.

After attending Texas Christian University, Dr. Jackson attended University of Texas Southwestern Medical School where he received his medical degree. Following medical school, Dr. Jackson completed his internship at State University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. He then served 4 years in the United States Air Force as a General Medical Officer. After the Air Force he took his orthopedic residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and affiliated hospitals.

Dr. Jackson has been nominated D Magazine, “Best Doctors in Dallas”, 2003, and to Texas Monthly’s “Texas Super Doctors”, in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Dr. Jackson has been married to his wife Leslie for 48 years. They have two children, Rob, and Paige, and two grandchildren. His hobbies include sailboat racing, and aerobic training.
